Community Standards

Our community standards are guidelines that outline the expected behavior and responsibilities of our Unbroken members. They are designed to create a safe, respectful, and supportive environment for everyone involved. By adhering to these standards, members contribute to a positive and inclusive atmosphere that supports everyone's growth and recovery.

Sobriety

  • Anyone with at least 48 hours of continuous sobriety is welcome to attend Unbroken classes and events.

  • If you attend classes on a regular basis, then we ask that you make a commitment to recovery.

Physical and Emotional Safety

  • Behavior and/or language that could be perceived as violent or threatening is unacceptable.

  • Language or conduct that could be perceived as racist, sexist, homophobic, or otherwise inappropriate is not tolerated.

  • Unbroken is not a dating club; unwelcome advances, physical contact, and/or sexually suggestive speech or actions are never acceptable.

  • Weapons are not allowed at Unbroken classes or events.

  • If you have a physical limitation, injury, or condition that could affect your participation, then let your coach know.

  • If you feel unsafe or have concerns, then let one of our coaches or staff know immediately.

Community

  • In order to continue offering classes at a subsidized rate, Unbroken encourages members to give back through volunteering or by making financial contributions when able to do so.

  • Unbroken aims to foster a sense of community in a supportive, nurturing environment where everyone is welcome.

  • Members should always be kind and courteous to one another.

Tobacco and Electronic Cigarettes

  • Use of tobacco of any kind, including  electronic cigarettes, is not permitted at or in proximity of Unbroken classes and events.

Family, Friends, and Supporters

  • Family, friends, and supporters are expected to abide by all Unbroken standards.

  • Children are welcome at designated events; parents/guardians are solely responsible for child supervision.

  • Unbroken staff will report suspected child abuse; behavior and/or language that could be perceived as threatening, shaming, physically abusive, or neglectful are unacceptable.

Member Conduct

  • When you attend Unbroken classes and events and/or wear Unbroken attire in public, you help shift public perceptions about recovery so please be thoughtful, kind, and courteous to all.

  • Members are expected to represent Unbroken positively in all settings.

Attire

  • Athletic attire must be appropriate for the physical activity in which you are participating.

Recovery

  • There is not one right way to recover; as such, members should use recovery strategies that suit their individual needs.

  • Individual recovery paths are honoured, and our staff and coaches are always available for support; please approach us with any questions or concerns that you may have.

Failure to comply with these standards may result in membership suspension or termination. Final judgement on all policy matters is up to Unbroken's staff and/or coach's sole discretion.
